About Us
The Church
The church of Christ in the New Testament is called the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23, Colossians 1:18-19, 24). These same verses also teach us that Christ is the head of that body, therefore it is His church. In the book of I Corinthians 12:12, we are told that the body is made up of many members, just like a human body, and Acts 2:47 tells us that God adds the saved to the church. We can conclude from the above verses that the church of the New Testament is the saved people of God.
The Bible
The Bible is our only book of rules. We have no man-written creed books to follow. We are governed in faith and conduct by the Bible (God's Word) alone. While recognizing the guiding principles of the Old Testament, we seek to conform to the rules and patterns of the New Testament (Hebrews 1:1-2, 1 Peter 4:11). We accept the Bible as being God breathed - inspired by God, and infallible in content (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 1 Corinthians 2:11-13). Consequently, when the Bible speaks upon a subject, its pronouncement is accepted as final. By its own testimony, no one may with impunity alter a single word of it (Deuteronomy 4:2, Proverbs 30:6, Revelation 22:18-19).
The Local Congregation
We are small in number, yet LARGE in faith. We strive to worship and serve God just as we see the commands and examples in the New Testament, nothing more and nothing less. Our mission is the same as that of the church we read about in the New Testament, to spread the good news of the gospel of Christ both throughout this community and across the world (Matthew 28:19-20) and to meet the spiritual needs of the saints; men and women of the Church (Ephesians 4:11-16). We believe you will find us to be a genuine group of Christians who would love to help anyone we can in their relationship with God.
